Frank was a passionate believer in the importance of inclusive communication, and a great supporter of Communication Inclusion People and our vision.
He had personal experience of communication disadvantage.
We started working together in 2007 when very few people recognised the term ‘inclusive communication’. Frank was proud that this has now changed. He was also actively involved with the British Stammering Association (Scotland).
He joined our Board of Directors in 2023. He brought a wide range of knowledge and a dry sense of humour to our discussions. He had an eye for detail and made sure we were keeping to our regulatory obligations as a social enterprise. With reluctance, Frank resigned in December 2024 due to ill-health.
Frank died in July 2025. He will be missed as a champion of the rights of people who communicate differently.
